Old texture mill adds to Leeds’ teeming club scene...
Perched on the banks of the Leeds-Liverpool canal, an abandoned texture mill dubbed Canal Mills re-opens as a venue dedicated to damn decent dance music on Friday 28th September.
Spearheaded by Leeds’ eminent Sound Channel team, the opening event will welcome Simian Mobile Disco, Julio Bashmore and The 2 Bears to the rickety innards of this 19th Century-built location. Joining a series of installations from art collectives for a series of six events that’ll last until Friday 2nd November, Skream & Benga, Jackmaster, Boddika, Dusky, Maya Jane Coles, Ralph Lawson, Simon Baker, Crazy P, Mr Scruff and David Rodigan will be on hand to send the place doolally throughout the programme...
