American-Chilean producer gives away Theatre Roosevelt collaboration
You only need look at the number of comment lines on the Soundcloud player below to realise what a popular young man Nicolas Jaar is. Having clocked up almost 150,000 plays in less than five days, his free collaboration with Theatre Roosevelt, entitled 'The Ego', reveals his global fanbase that has built up since 2011's much celebrated debut album 'Space Is Only Noise'.
This year he released 'Don't Break My Love', a compilation of tracks on his own Clown & Sunset label which could only be listened to – via two headphone ports - on the small metal cube that they cane on, and recorded his first Essential Mix for the UK's Radio One, which divided critical opinion between genius and self-indulgence.
