GLOBAL SCOOP

Midlands festival behemoth, Global Gathering scooped the prestigious Best Dance Event award at the UK Festival Awards held at London's Roundhouse on Monday evening.

The event, held in Stratford Upon Avon each July boasts one of the biggest line ups in dance music and its subsidary genres. Last night's event was headlined by Tinie Tempah, Chase & Status, Armin van Buuren, Skrillex and Friendly Fires. 

Elsewhere, Rob da Bank's Bestival scooped Best Major Festival and New Order won Best Performance for their show at Festival No.6
