Croatia preps for new summer festival!

The Ibiza Vs Croatia debate is one that’s more than a tad jaded these days. What the Adriatic coastline does do better than the White Isle however, is electronically inclined music festivals. The likes of Hideout and Dimensions are the most obvious examples, but a host of similarly discerning types have been cropping up for some time now.

The most recent of these to enter the fray is the Love System Festival in Punta Radman, Petrcane. Their vision is to ‘create an immersive experience for avid followers of house music and all its various guises’, and one casual glance at their talent-bulging line-up suggests they’re on the right course. On the aptly titled Floating Stage (that literally floats over the Adriatic sea), names such as Shonky, Ralph Lawson, Mario Basanov and Finnebassen will play headline roles, while other esteemed ‘underground’ figures such as Tom Demac, HNQO, Bicep, George Fitzgerald, Sven Weisemann and wAFF (amongst others), will all be on hand to soundtrack matters elsewhere.

Add this to the fact that it’s all set to go down on the never-previously-used site, a stones throw from the old Garden Location, within Punta Radman Wood – a shaded venue featuring a maze of bars, stages and chill-out areas – and it’s not hard to understand why hopes are high for this one. And in typical Croatian fashion, boat parties will play a prominent role too, with some of the UK’s most renowned clubbing brands such as Jaunt, Underground, Kumasi and Bad Apple all venturing out to the high seas. With a range of beautiful apartments and cosy villas just minutes from the site (as well as camping options for those looking to fully embrace the Croatian summer), the three day extravaganza looks set to play a pivotal role at the start of Croatia’s summer season. As the promoters themselves cry, ‘Roll on the Summer of Love!’
