SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

FIRST LISTEN: Kindness and Joakim launch Crowdspacer imprint

Tigersushi boss Joakim and house hipster Kindness have teamed up to launch vinyl-only label, Crowdspacer, and the debut release from Everyone – a collaboration between the two alongside Vincent L'Traques – will drop on 11th February.

The launch follows a year that saw Kindness go from hotly-tipped whisper to one of the most played artists in subterranean circles; 'House' - probably the most potent underground pop track of last year - not escaping the attention of electro/bass tastemakers such as Annie Mac and Tiga, and his album 'World, You Need A Change of Mind' winnning plaudits within indie/dance circles worldwide.

Frenchman Joakim, meanwhile, has continued to fashion his sound from various influences, including French house, techno, electro and disco, as part of a career that's spawned four artist LPs and singles for Future Classic, Versatile and his own Tigersushi imprint.

A statement from the label read as follows:

'Crowdspacer is about dance, sweaty clubs, techno primitivism, trans-gender house, tropicalist trance, mutant disco, fun avant-garde, timeless futurism, the body & soul.'

The debut track (also to land on Kindress' Female Energy label) is 'No Time To Waste'; a low slung house affair with a viscous analogue underbelly, slightly pitch-bent keys and slo mo soul vocals. Cross the stream below...
