London hip hop crew reveal 2013 line up
The Doctor's Orders have notoriously hosted the finest hip hop parties since 2005. Now in their eighth year they will once again be descending on the finest venues in London, Brighton and Manchester while celebrating their 250th show this year.
The line up continues from the first party of the year on Friday 11th January that featured the likes of Mr Thing and Spin Doctor at East Village, London. The Doctors Orders have enlisted the skills of Mr Scruff, Shortee Blitz, Sarah Love, Spin Doctor, DJ Premier, DJ Format to host the continuing themed parties of the year.
The nights held on the 1st and 3rd February at Manchester's Ruby Lounge and the Scala, London will play host to J-Dilla Changed My Life, The Doctors Orders tribute to the late James Yancey with DJs spinning the celebrated J-Dilla works.
Saturday 2nd February sees Queens Of Hip Hop gracing The Book Club, London. With an all female line up the night is set to deliver hip hop's true girl power.
East Village, London is primed for a hip hop delight as attendees will be served with a four hour four deck set from The Nextmen, sure to span sounds from reggae and hip hop to jungle and house.
One of the most anticipated nights of The Doctor's Orders calendar is the arrival of DJ Premier at Plan B, London. Arguably the most respected and influential producer in the history of hip hop. Supported by his self proclaimed protégé Statik Selektah the night will be sure to deliver the greatest in classic and fresh new sounds.
Friday 22nd March at The Book Club, London set four DJs, DJ Format, Mr Thing, Spin Doctor and Mo Fingers to play vinyl sets of 45 or their favourite 45's in the night ingeniously titled 45x45.
The Doctor's Orders proudly celebrate their 250th event this year, they are keeping tight lipped with the line up but after the stream of prolific events that it is following there is no boubt that it is going to be a banger.
