This season will be Pure Pacha's third successful year on the island, and once more it will be bringing its special touch of class and glamour to the White Isle's most opulent club every Friday.

Pete Tong describes it as 'a wonderland for grown ups who don't want to grow up just yet', and although this may be just a slogan, Pure Pacha is certainly not for the average club kid.

Although there's a good variety of DJ talent booked for this season - John Digweed, Groove Armada, Carl Cox, Darren Emerson, and Victor Calderone will all play at some point this summer - one gets the feeling that image is equally important to this night.

PP's poster campaign designer Adam Shepherd's theatrical explanation of this year's theme (it's been inspired by Moulin Rouge), sums up Pure Pacha's ethos.

He said: "This will be a place where there is attitude and energy, carefree life, flickleness and joie de vivre.

"It's about a lust for life, a place to forget - which reflects the same feelings people have when they are in Ibiza," he added.

Cool Status

Pacha has always aimed to be the most glamorous venue on the island, and has often attracted celebrities, from P Diddy to Diego Maradonna, all keen to be associated with dance music's cool status.

This year, Pacha's resident celeb will be Mick Jagger's daughter Jade, who returns to host the Global Room (yes she's DJing).

Miss Jagger will be 'mixing up' the best in funk, soul, and party music, and she's excited, claiming "'It's going to be excess all areas."

"We want to be true to the original Balearic spirit of this beautiful island and create a place where anything can happen," she continued.

"Our music will be influenced by hip hop, funk, soul, r&b - in fact anywhere, as long as it hits our hearts and makes us want to grind our hips."

DJmag hasn't had the opportunity to judge Jade's skills behind the decks yet, but looks forward to catching one of her sets very soon.
