EXCLUSIVE MIX: BNJMN
Rush Hour man delivers some lush deepness ahead of We Fear Silence
When BNJMN dropped debut LP 'Plastic World' in 2011 it came almost out of nowhere.
With 'Blocks' becoming one of the year's anthems, the album earmarked him as one of the most exciting prospects for sci-fi-inflected house music – yet all we knew was his real name was probably Benjamin. It was as if he'd been sent from outer space.
These days, the Bournemouth-born producer (Benjamin Thomas) feels a little more human. Making name as a producer of angular, shape-shifting techno, he dropped sophomore ('Black Square') also in 2011 and nowadays his live sets are an eagerly sought out source for mind-meddling electronics.
On Saturday 23rd March, he joins Boddika, Dexter, Roman Lindau and Braiden in the main of London's Cable to celebrate We Fear Silence's 4th Birthday, while Loose Synths take over Room 2 with Spokes, Shooting Horses and DLVRY.
To commemorate, he's dropped us a rare DJ set spilling with melody and soaked in atmospherics...
