DFA: JAMES MURPHY TO SUE PARTNER

LCD Soundsystem frontman files lawsuit against DFA partner James Goldsworthy

News has emerged that relations between LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy have hardened, the DFA boss demanding $93,899 he's reportedly owed by the partner he set up the label with in 2001.

This morning, US newswire DNAinfo.com reported: 'In a lawsuit, DFA accuses Goldsworthy of failing to perform services he was paid for, owing outstanding loans, improperly using the company credit card and making unauthorized withdrawals from its bank accounts.'

According to the story, attempts to amicably resolve the lawsuit filed in the Manhattan Civil Supreme Court on Friday have been rebuffed by Goldsworthy, who label manager Jonathan Gaitkin said separated ties with DFA when he moved back to the UK from New York three years ago.

Speaking in an interview at the time, Gaitkin revealed that Goldsworthy had taken off without informing anyone at DFA, however he's listed within the lawsuit as the managing director of DFA.
