Fourth instalment of Stanton Warriors' mix series
2001 saw breakbeat duo Stanton Warriors storm onto the compilation scene with the launch of Stanton Sessions.
An instant classic, the mix showcased not only the emerging breakbeat sound of the time, but introduced the indistinguishable 'Stanton's Sound' - it is party music, slung low with deep subs, cheeky vocals and a menacing freight train-like rhythm.
12 years and two wildly successful instalments later and the Stantons are back with Stanton Session IV. The album segues cuts from the Warriors themselves with fresh edits of tracks from A1 Bassline, Bingo Players, Plump DJs and DJ Icey - all tightly weaved together with aforementioned Stanton's sound.
