WHAT ARE YOU WEARING: LOTTIE

We ask DJ Lottie about what she is wearing

What are you wearing right now?

“Well I'm back at home now, with music and wine, after taking my 7 year old son to football training, and from the bottom up I'm wearing; my trusted (ancient) white Converse, 7 For All Mankind jeans (also ancient but they fit well and last years), a multi-coloured belt from a market in Mexico, a white cotton Vivienne Westwood Anglomania top and a leather jacket from Zara. I shouldn't really have to wear the jacket as it’s meant to be summer but this is England.”

How would you describe your style?

“Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush are my style icons, and I'm obsessed with both of those amazing women to be honest, and Jane Birkin for their effortless, bohemian style. I would have loved to have been around in that time of rock n' roll and excess. Instead I was around for the 90's acidhouse excess which wasn't so bad I suppose, not as many floaty dresses for that decade though, it was more Travel Fox trainers and lycra but we did have a lot of dancing to do.”

Who is your favourite designer / label?

“I have to say I've always been much more of a music person than a fashion person. I go for more classic items than fashionable stuff but, saying that I do love clothes, and if I had the luxury of going on a shopping mission tomorrow I'd head straight for Chanel for some androgynous suits and heels, Acne for denim, t-shirts and boots and Missoni for some shawls and dresses for Ibiza. A complete wardrobe that would last a long time.”

What is your favourite boutique/store?

“Colette in Paris for variety, Asos online for bargains and Zara Barcelona Airport for topping up the wardrobe between gigs.”

We’re featuring swimwear in this issue... when, where do you like to go swimming?

“Benirras Beach and Ibiza Rocks House pool in Ibiza. Over here, Babington House (when I get the chance) and on the rare occasion the sun comes out when I'm at home the paddling pool from Argos does nicely.”

What is your most treasured item of clothing or jewellery?

“My art deco engagement ring for obvious reasons.”

What are you currently working on and what plans do you have for the rest of the summer?

“It's Geishas third birthday this month and each night we do is getting better and better. We're continuing our residencies at Cargo in London and Moles in Bath and I'll be at my favourite club in the world We Love Space in Ibiza in September. I've also got my next release 'Remember Me' out on Conkrete at the end of the Summer.”
