Faithless to headline Global Gathering festival

Something big is about to go down. The countdown has begun for the mother of all festivals. On the 27th and 28th July at Long Marston Airfield, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Global Gathering returns, with a truly gargantuan line-up of dance music dons.

The immense Faithless head the bill, performing live, in what promises to be one of the biggest dates on the dance music calendar. "We're chuffed to be playing this year's Global Gathering," revealed Sister Bliss. "Knowing how rocking it was to DJ there a couple of years ago, it's great for the whole band to be invited to what's shaping up to be the dance event of the summer!" They are joined by funky freaks Basement Jaxx, and a dream-team line-up of DJs. Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Armand Van Helden, Sander Kleinenberg, John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, Ferry Corsten and Roger Sanchez are only a small sample of what we can expect from a festival that caters for every taste under the sun.

From trance to drum and bass, hard house to hip-hop, all bases are covered. Evil Nine and the Stanton Warriors are some of the most prominent breaks bovver boys, the Tidy Boys and BK are keeping the hard house tight, and star turns are expected from drum and bass don Goldie, electro house dudes Booka Shade, and Gallic techno king Alex Kid. Hot talent Calvin Harris will also be appearing, and made no bones about how dope this one's going to be. "I'm really looking forward to playing one of the biggest discos in the universe!"

Last year, 75,000 revellers assembled to make Global Gathering one of the world's biggest and most bacchanalian fun feasts imaginable, and this time, it's only gonna get more massive. Three new Ibiza-inspired 'terraces' have been devised, each hosted by some of the most popular names in dance music, including Circo Loco and Sundissential, and a Roger Sanchez Release Yourself arena offering some of the very finest in house.
