CHATTIN' BREEZE: WETYOURSELF! TURN 3

Fabric's Sunday night institution

Before you ask, this month’s Chattin’ Breeze isn't a series of childish anecdotes about times we’ve woken up in a puddle of our own piddle. As if we’d be that puerile? Honestly... Nope. The only wetting of oneself we are concerned with happens late on a Sunday night. Not while asleep, blissfully dreaming about talking toilet lids with googly eyes only to be rudely woken by warm soggy wetness, but at London’s Fabric.

Dubbed WetYourSelf! due to its inception at East London's all-night-disco-with-a-swimming-pool Aquarium in 2007, WYS! moved down the road to Fabric to cater for a level of success unexpected of a wonky Sunday night party that's as much about the music as having fun.

During its seven-year lifetime the night has welcomed the finest names in techno, everybody from Chris Liebing to Sebastien Leger, to rock Room One at a time when most people are tucked up in bed ready for work the next day, as well as taking the brand to the world's most eminent clubs — Space Ibiza, D-Edge, Watergate — and setting up a label, WYS! Recordings, in 2010.

Providing a platform for the residents to put out their own productions, the label has also delivered cuts from Alex Under, Marc Houle and Pig & Dan so far.

WYS! Recordings celebrates its third birthday at Fabric on Sunday 1st September with Alex Under, Alexkid, App (live) and Shane Linehan alongside the residents, plus more TBA, and you'd be a wet lettuce to miss it.
