XOYO BIRTHDAY WEEKENDER

First birthday celebrations for East London venue

This weekend will see Old Street venue XOYO celebrate a year under its new management.

The club will bring two massive line-ups, with LCD soundsystem frontman James Murphy kicking things off on the Friday in his first UK performance for beards. Murphy will be joined by Yuksek as well as Mighty Mouse, The C90s and Punk Jump Up as support.

Continuing the celebrations on Saturday will be Chicago legend Derrick Carter, who will for one night abandon his "boompty boomp" roots with a 'Derrick Does Disco' set. Greymatter and KRL will also represent for Wolf Music and Kompakt/Comeme Lothario Matias Aguayo is also on board to perform live.

After opening in 2010, XOYO was taken on by Columbo Group in 2012 and has since undergone a series of changes, including refurbishments, improved sound and the attachment of Shoreditch Butchery as an additional side venue.
