Who's behind it?
Kitsuné is the Japanese word for fox, and this fashionable French label was founded by Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki. “Gildas met Daft Punk when he was running his own record shop in Paris at the beginning of the '90s. At this time, a Japanese architecture student called Masaya was another regular client with whom he quickly became friends. So when the time came to go to Japan for the Interstella 5555 movie, Gildas asked Masaya to come along in order to make things work a little easier. during the time spent travelling, they became good friends and decided to create a company gathering the things they loved most: fashion and music. In 2002, Kitsuné was created and in 2003, the very first Kitsuné compilation 'Love' was released. The rest is history.”
Electro, pop, rock, indie, house and more. “From light electro-pop to garage rock, deep house to pop rock, Kitsuné’s not about one genre or style, it’s about eclecticism and diversity. The sky’s the limit! Kitsuné combines it all with sass and verve and a French nose for what will be a hit tomorrow!”
