DISCO BISCUIT RETURN

With Gatto Fritto on 19th October

Set-up in 2012 to bring interesting music to strange places, Disco Biscuit have so far thrown parties in an abandoned office block, an old Jamaican restaurant and various Dalston basements.

After a summer break they return to Bar 512, Kingsland Road, on Saturday 19th October for a much-anticipated appearance by Gatto Fritto, aka London based DJ and producer Ben Williams.

Involved in the short-lived but much revered Dissident label, which helped bring focus back on vinyl-pressed, analogue produced music, tracks such as 2007’s ‘Invisible College’ became hits with the likes of Andy Weatherall and DJ Harvey, while he went on to releases his eponymous debut album for International Feel in 2011 – a work that displayed a love and deep understanding of everything from Kraut rock to Detroit techno.

Having worked behind the counter of various record shops for over a decade, Ben’s music knowledge is second to none as you can hear by the range of his recent mixes available on the net. Try here, here and here to get you in the mood.

With a very late license and pocket friendly £5 entry on the door all-night, make sure you don’t miss out on what will be an exceptional selection of music from one of the UK’s most underrated DJ talents. Last time we heard him play the only times we stopped dancing were to find out what tracks he was playing, something we guarantee will happen often.

Support comes from Disco Biscuit residents, Joe Europe, M.S.S.S, Joe Robots and Wil. Join the Facebook event here.
