FOUR TET PRODUCES NENEH CHERRY LP

On Smalltown Supersound early 2014

Four Tet has produced Neneh Cherry's first solo album in over 16 years, it has been revealed.

Out early 2014, the album, the product of collaboration between the '80/'90s singer and RocketNumberNine, will also feature a guest appearance from Robyn.

The 'Buffalo Stance' singers first artist album since 1996, the LP is to be released on Norwegian imprint Smalltown Supersound and comes after last year's 'Cherry Thing', her collaboration with Scandinavian free jazz noise collective, The Thing.

"It was a liberating experience, not endlessly trying to fiddle with the music, re-recording hundreds of times. These days it's easy to create any effect or sound on a computer; it is much harder to get the rawness I think we've achieved," said Neneh.
