Launched this year, NoWayBack is the artistic fusion and combined talents of an ex-DJ and a graphic designer. Helen aka The Lovely Helen was a resident at Birmingham’s Wobble back in the day, playing alongside Derrick Carter, X-Press 2 and Andrew Weatherall, while at the same time working in music and fashion retail.
Skip to the end... last year she met Chris, an artist and graphic designer, and together they formed NoWayBack, a brand with a passion for dance music.
“A shared love of the house classic ‘No Way Back’ by Adonis inspired the name,” explains Helen. “Our aim is to offer limited edition designs created by Chris showcasing his artwork,” she goes on to say.
They’ve already upped their ante by introducing a women’s range of tees. Latest additions to their men’s collections include Roland 303 and 808 designs. “We want to stick to short design runs, keeping the brand fresh and never repeating ourselves,” Helen tells DJMag.
