FIRST LISTEN: FLORIAN PICASSO

Florian Picasso’s gargantuan beats are starting to live up to his notorious surname. The 23-year-old grandson of Pablo Picasso is keeping the artist’s legacy alive in a form palatable for Generation EDM. 

The French producer’s forthcoming anthem, ‘Trivia’ (out January 14 on CR2) is a tech-house earthquake, spewing out an aural equivalent to growling hot lava. ‘Trivia’ roars from the belly of a beast yet, maintains a bouncy element, making the grinding monster record quite danceable.
