The dates have just been announced for the 2014 Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Europe's premier dance music conference. The wide-ranging five-day event will take place this year from October 15th — 19th. ADE is expected to welcome 350,000 visitors from around the world to Amsterdam this year.

This year is the 19th ADE, an event that has grown exponentially year on year. Organisers reckon that ADE has doubled in size over the past three years, which coincides with the number of years that DJ Mag has held the Top 100 DJs awards at ADE. DJ Mag will once again be there this autumn, as will most other main dance industry players for the round of panels, meetings, events and networking opportunities that ADE throws up.

“The success of ADE and the health of the electronic music sector are inextricably linked,” said ADE director Richard Zijlma. “Dance music is currently in the process of conquering the world, with more and more countries and industries getting involved. Consequently ADE has become a global knowledge and business platform that the world — and the Netherlands and Amsterdam in particular — all benefit from. It's not for nothing that dance music is now an important part of the cultural policy of the Dutch government.”
