STARKILLERS’ TOP 5 GAME CHANGERS FOR 2014

Starkillers, with a reputation for powerful, high-energy house, is growing continuously with releases dropping like bombs  collaborations with some of electronic dance music's finest. 2013 saw Starkillers spin across the USA with a relentless tour schedule, remixes of Armin van Buuren's 'Turn This Love Around' and Hadouken!'s 'Levitate,’ as well as collaborations with Inpetto 'Game Over'. 2014 will see Starkillers return to his smash 'Keep It Coming,’ featuring Grammy-nominated vocalist Nadia Ali, his ambient, groove-laden rework offers a fresh take on the original and will be released as a free download. With lots planned for the new year including releases on Dim Mak (stay tuned for his collab with Tony Junior 'Total Destruction' Out 21st January on Dim Mak Records), Ultra and Black Pearl Records, we're backing him to make big waves for fellow jockeys too. Here Starkillers picks his five game changers for 2014 that will spin a bigger fate in dance music.

1. Blinders
"Blinders' music has been supported by dance music heavyweights David Guetta, Pete Tong, Steve Aoki and Axwell for a while now and his recent deal with Universal Music Publishing suggests an even brighter future. He's to kick off 2014 with an anthemic remix of Goodwill's 'Golden Times' that vividly recaptures all the euphoria of summertime festival season with aplomb, as well as January dates in both Paris and Lyon. Big, bold and perfectly suited to the dance floor, I’m backing it to cause a stir in the clubs." 

2. Style Of Eye
"Swedish producer Style Of Eye is best renowned for his remarkable songwriting capabilities and knack for working a dance floor but his latest single 'Kids', featuring Soso, showcases a multitude of talents that we think should earmark him as one to watch in 2014. Striking the right balance between underground and pop sensibilities is essential in today's world and Kids does exactly that; built around a super catchy hook and soaring melodies, it lands as one of his finest electro house smashes to date. Now, with lots in the pipeline moving into next year and having already worked alongside Skrillex and A-Trak, I'm predicting even bigger things for Style Of Eye."

3. dBerrie
"Given his welcome return to Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman's 'Flamingo' imprint with club stomper 'Output' back in November, we're tipping dBerrie to build on his successes in 2013 and make next year one of his biggest yet. Supported by everyone from Paul Oakenfold to David Guetta and with remix work for Katy Perry already under his belt, you'd be hard pushed to stop him. In the meantime, those in the US can catch him in Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Miami and LA before the year is out." 

4. Kryder
"Having risen from virtual unknown to global star in the space of a few years, Kryder enjoyed another big year in 2013. Backed by Calvin Harris and Judge Jules amongst others, he released tracks on both Protocol and Axtone and played debut shows in the USA, Malaysia, Korea, France, Canada and Brazil, but it's in 2014 I think he'll really make a name for himself as one of dance music's biggest new stars."

5. Gregori Klosman
"With high profile remixes for the likes of Akon, Avicii and Lady Gaga already to his name, French electro house kingpin Gregori Klosman is a surefire tip for 2014. A firm fixture in the Dirty-Dutch camp too, he's supported Chuckie at events all over the world, including a standout residency at Pacha in Ibiza this summer. 2013 also saw him release the excellent 'Funk It' on A-Trak's all-conquering Fools Gold imprint and enjoy big success with his 'Klosmania' podcast series on iTunes. With his 'Guru' label also making serious waves on the Beatport charts, we can't see past Klosman being a key name to look out for this year."
