TOP 100 CLUBS PROFILE: OCTAGON, SEOUL

With Miller Genuine Draft

Over the last couple of years South Korea – and Seoul in particular – has been at the forefront of an Asian dance music revolution – and believe us, there is a lot more to it than ‘Gangnam Style’!

At the very heart of this movement is Octagon, one of two super clubs in Seoul (the other being Ellui). Since bursting onto the scene in 2011, the Gangnam-based venue – complete with slick interior design, thumping Funktion One sound system and constantly-hyped crowd has drawn comparisons to London’s Fabric (albeit with a bigger soundtrack) and has seen a meteoric ascent towards the Top 100 Clubs summit.

Within months of opening Octagon managed to grab enough votes to enter the 2012 poll at #97 before – after a full year’s service – rocketing up to #12 in 2013.

So can this ascent continue? Will Octagon break into the top 10 in 2014? Or can they go one further by toppling the mighty Zouk to become Asia’s No.1 Club? Only you can decide, so make your vote count here!
