NOVATION RELEASE HERITAGE CELEBRATION FILM

And free 800mb sample pack

We love a good movie here at DJ Mag HQ and when its based around tech it just doesn’t get better than that so when Novation told us about their new Heritage Celebration Short Film we knew we just had to share it with you guys.

The film itself is a celebration of all things Novation, from the good old days right up to now, and what may be in the future. Novation have been at the forefront of the dance music scene in so many ways so it was apt that they share their history with the world, giving an insight as to where they came from and where they are going too.

In the film itself you get a narrative from Novation co-founder Ian Jannoway, legendary synth designer Chris Huggett, Gus Unger-Hamilton of Alt-J, Sneaker Pimps and Lana Del Ray producer Liam Howe, and product manager Matt Derbyshire giving a personal reflective on how they got involved with Novation from humble beginnings to a company whose musical innovations support a user base and fan club that includes – amongst many others - Orbital, M4SONIC, Rudimental, T.E.E.D, Lunice, Alt-J, Teddy Riley, Jimmy Mac - keyboardist for international sensation Lorde and myself DJ Mag Tech Editor Mick Wilson.

Its definitely worth a watch and shows the inspiration that has driven these guys to do what they do and the equipment that has made its mark in the electronic music scene.

And just because they are very nice people over at Novation they are also giving away a FREE 800MB Sample Pack and a chance for three lucky people to win one of its ‘Powerful Synth Line’ with the choice between Bass Station II, UltraNova, or MiniNova synthesisers in a make-a-track competition with an all-star judging panel including Paul Hartnoll (Orbital), Liam Howe (Lana Del Ray, Sneaker Pimps), Eats Everything, and Timo Maas in a competition running from the 4th of February to the 4th of March 2014.
