Out soon on Skint

Brighton-based dance label Skint has snapped up wildly talented upstart Seb Wildblood for a jam-packed EP and DJ Mag readers can have a sneaky listen to the KRL remix below.

The co-founder of Church — the label he set up with Apes in 2011 — broke through with the lumbering bass of 'Töreki' on Madtech last year, becoming a posterboy for the explosion of music currently dominating UK airwaves, crossing underground pop styles with modes of house/garage.

Existential and slightly subversive in form, his touch is not strictly for the dancefloor, but it's definitely dance-y, with his latest, 'Barcelona/Blue Colour' feat. vocals from Leo Naylor, nudging him closer to James Blake than James Zabiela in terms of philosophy.

Despite the melancholic vibe of the originals, the package does come with a bang — or two. The remixes — a funky techno work-out from Apes and rolling 909 effort from Wolf Music's KRL (pictured) — make for a decent all-round package (out 17th March). Stream KRL's version exclusively below.
