Red Bull Music Academy are celebrating 15 years of excellence with the release of a full length feature film documentary that follows closely the lives and times of the students from the most recent edition of the academy that was staged in New York last year. The film captures the heady atmosphere that these guys experienced from their day time activities to the night time manoeuvres as they took to various locations and venues around the city, and serves as an inspiring reportage for anyone interested in applying for future RBMA Sessions and experiencing this rather unique world-travelling series of music workshops and festivals.

Featuring the attendees and lecturers of the 2013 New York Sessions ‘What Difference Does it Make?’ explores the personal challenges that a life of music can bring, highlighting the view points from the guys and girls who were shortlisted to attend the academy as they start out on their incredible journey in the world of music.

‘What Difference Does it Make?’  features the alumni that gave talks and workshops during the New York 2013 lectures every one of these artists has been heavily influential in shaping the face of music as we know it today - Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Giorgio Moroder, Erykah Badu, Nile Rodgers, Rakim, Skream, Q-Tip, Bernie Worrell, Egyptian Lover, Ken Scott, Thundercat, Richie Hawtin, James Murphy, Debbie Harry and Stephen O’ Malley plus many others.
