CAN YOU IDENTIFY THESE STUDIO THIEVES?

Help identify the men who robbed a couple of London studios

DJ Mag doesn't usually come over all Crimewatch-like, but when it's an issue that has affected two of our favourite underground DJs — Radioactive Man and Ben Sims — then we have to offer to help.

CCTV footage has just been released of the two youths who robbed the two London-based producers' studios back in January. The 24-second grainy black and white footage shows two out of the three young people responsible walking down an alley by the side of the east London studios before clearing out all the equipment. Here's the footage:

It can take electronic music producers years to build studios — using their hard-earned money. To have people break into studios to steal equipment is just low. Radioactive Man has posted this video to YouTube, as the police enquiry has failed to find and apprehend the culprits up until now.

Do you know these studio thieves? The men were reportedly driving a black Vauxhall Astra, and there is a reward for any information that leads to arrests and the recovery of equipment.

The haul included Korg Electribe synths, two MacBook Pros, several guitars, two CDJ2000 Nexus players, a Korg Kaoss Pad, Native Instruments Maschine and lots more kit. Email [email protected] in strictest confidence if you have any info.
