GROOVE ARMADA HEADLINE ZOO PROJECT

UK clubbers prepare to go wild

The Zoo Project returns to Donington Park in the Midlands this summer (September 12th — 14th) for its third UK festival.

Groove Armada head up a strong, discerning line-up on a bill that also includes Steve Lawler, James Zabiela, Shy FX with Stamina MC, and a live set from 'Voodoo Ray' man A Guy Called Gerald.

Zoo Project started in 2007 in Ibiza, staging a now-legendary event in an old disused zoo on the fabled island. Zoo Project still does its weekly Saturday Gala nights in the abandoned zoo, and the location has set the tone for the kind of wacky behaviour often exhibited by clubbers — face-painting and animal masks are not even the half of it!

This year at its UK fest, the organisers will be providing more music stages than ever. “At Zoo HQ, we're super-excited about 2014's UK festival,” promoter Graeme Stuart told DJ Mag. “We're taking our line-up deeper into the forest.” Much of the festival occurs in Donington Park's adjoining forest.

Stage hosts this year include Secretsundaze, Born Electric, Riff Raff, Secret Party Project and Jaunt, and DJ Mag too.

Other DJs on the bill include Mr Scruff, Mala, Ben UFO b2b Midland, Craig Richards, Special Request (Paul Woolford), John Talabot, Benjamin Damage (live), Pedestrian, Matt Tolfrey, Blackhall & Bookless, T. Williams, Drew Hill and Maribou State, plus many more.
