Brazilian duo re-rub 'Comfortable' by The Knocks
Brazilian duo The Twelves, from Rio de Janeiro, have just given us one of their remixes to give away to you lovely people. Their re-rub of 'Comfortable' by The Knocks is a punk-funk delight — grab it from the Soundcloud below...
João Miguel and Luciano Oliveira formed The Twelves in Rio back in 2005. Their name came from the strange coincidence of their birthdays — both were born on the 12th July in the same year.
Their live show is a riot of live keyboards, drum machines, mash-ups and remixing on the fly — improvising as much as possible. DJ Mag is tipping them as ones to watch.
The Twelves first made their name in 2007 when they remixed M.I.A's 'Boys', a track that became a big hit on the blogs.
They went on to remix New Young Pony Club, MSTRKRFT, WhoMadeWho, Two Door Cinema Club, Metric and lots more, and have also done mash-ups of well-known names such as Radiohead, Daft Punk and Groove Armada.
