CHEMICAL BROTHERS TO ROCK SPACE IBIZA

Top line-up for the Space Opening Fiesta

The Chemical Brothers are to make a rare appearance on May 25th at Space Ibiza, where they've been confirmed to play the Space Opening Fiesta. The Space opening party traditionally signals the start of the Ibiza season.

Joining the Chemical Brothers on the line-up are tech wizard James Zabiela; techno don Jon Rundell, an associate of Carl Cox; Space regulars Gelab from Menorca, Kehakuma resident Javi Bora, Space Ibiza On Tour resident Camilo Franco, Ibiza Calling resident Danny Marquez; Charlie Hedges from Kiss FM in London; and Ibiza institution Jonathan Ulysses, who has made the Space Terrace his own over the years. Many more acts are still to be announced for this Space opening party.

The Chems, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, don't play too many DJ sets these days, but when they do you know it's going to be special. After making their name in the early 1990s at the infamous Heavenly Social club-night, they built themselves up into one of the premier live electronic acts on the planet.

Space opening on May 25th is the start of Space's 25th proper season on the island — quite a milestone. It's traditionally where many in the international dance music industry — living in Ibiza or just visiting — gather to mark the start of another summer of festivities.

Keep an eye out for more line-up additions, and for DJ Mag's party at Space the following week — Sunday 1st June.
