With the May issue of DJ Mag (out 27th April) featuring a piece on what Justin Robertson has termed the 'primitive sound', a mixture of raw machine beats and EBM attitude repped by the like of Timothy Fairplay and Daniel Avery, it's the ideal time for us to welcome the return of Dave I.D.
Mixing punk attiude and industrial grit with the floor-moving influence of funk, he released his debut album 'Response' on !K7 back in 2011. Coming soon is a new 'Exhibition' EP which feature a draw dropping set of remixes from House of Trax boss Rushmore, cult Swedish trio duo Frak, Oliver Ho under his Raudive guise, Vatican Shadow and the Belgium EBM pioneers Front 242.
As part of Record Store Day this weekend, Dave's releasing a limited 12" of 'Zulu Bash' from the EP with the Raudive and Front 242 remixes on. Available from all the usual London suspect, it's super limited so get in there fast!
You can also catch Dave's exclusive new monthly show on NTS, starting this Monday (21st April) from 4-5pm.
