PRESHA BRINGS SAMURAI TO THE UK

New Zealand drum & bass arrives in London

Drum & bass shogun Presha is bringing the way of the Samurai all the way from New Zealand to the UK in June, for his label's first ever full London club-night.

On Friday June 20th , Brixton's Plan B venue will celebrate the release of 'Presence', the debut LP of Samurai Music prodigy Tokyo Prose. Alongside Presha and Tokyo Prose themselves, the line-up features a stirling representation of the Samurai sound, with Calibre, Synkro, Clarity, LSB and Kiyoko all taking a turn in the booth.

Talking to DJ Mag about his excitement at the announcement, Presha said: “It took a lot of tweaking and negotiating to get the right line-up, but we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We really want to put our own unique slant on how a club-night can sound in every city, and this line-up is a perfect representation of the spectrum we cover.”

Geoff Presha is a pioneer of New Zealand's drum & bass scene. His label Samurai Music, along with its Horo and Red Seal imprints, have introduced the world to their individual take on the genre, promoting a fascinatingly versatile sound. Cohorts include ASC, Marcus Intalex, Consequence, Loxy and Gremlinz, to name but a few.
