DISCLOSURE HEADLINE CORONA SUNSETS FESTIVAL

UK hosts first in a series of worldwide beach festivals

Announced at the International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza yesterday, the series of Corona SunSets beach festivals is set to kick off in the UK in July. Disclosure (DJ set) headline the first one on Saturday 5th July in Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset in the south-west of England.

Annie Mac, US house don MK, hungry bass-house dude Eats Everything and global beats guy Sinden also play the Griffin Stage at the event.

Meanwhile, the Crown Stage will be headlined by Bestival main man Rob Da Bank, with B.Traits and Kidnap Kid amongst those in support.

In conjunction with Beatport, organisers are also holding a DJ competition to win sets at the beach events. More info here

The festival series is being put together by the people behind mammoth European events Tomorrowland and Mysteryland, so they definitely know what they're doing. After the UK event, the festival will stage events on beaches in Mexico (where Corona beer is from), Canada and Ibiza. Each festival willl host a maximum of 5-8,000 festival-goers.

After each festival, the beach will be restored to how it was found — if not more...

Organisers suggest that a new genre will be birthed at these events, “centred at the crossroads of Balearic beat and deep house”.

Early bird tickets go on sale today (Thursday 22nd May), priced £20. Available here
