MISTAJAM TO LAUNCH SPEAKERBOX IBIZA

Champion of UK urban and electronic music, Mistajam, is bringing the sounds of Speakerbox to the White Island this summer, launching a weekly club-night at Gatecrasher Ibiza in San Antonio.

The series will commence on June 19^th as the BBC Radio 1 DJ is joined by drum & bass chart-toppers Sigma. Following that, the new Gatecrasher venue will play host to the finest in UK dance, electronic and urban acts including Ms Dynamite, Katy B, Jaguar Skills, Tinie Tempah to name but a few.

August 7^th will even see a special one-off back-to-back set by Rudimental and Shy FX, before Example & DJ Wire end the run with a bang on September 18^th.

MistaJam has been a key driving force in the explosion of modern dance music within the UK. Through his BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra shows, MistaJam has promoted everything from grime to UK funky, hip-hop and drum & bass, whilst witnessing the evolution of dubstep first hand.

Set up in 2009, Speakerbox is MistaJam's platform for developing new artists, giving up-and-comers a chance on the big stage. Incorporating recordings as well as live performances, Speakerbox has helped acts such as Majestic, BitR8, DECiBEL and Apexape to establish themselves within the UK scene.

Since its early days hopping around venues in the West Midlands, Gatecrasher has gone on to become an international clubbing sensation. In May the company opened Gatecrasher Ibiza in San Antonio. The 3000-capacity club (formerly Eden) comes complete with the renowned VOID Sound System and promises a seven-day a week programme of events such as Speakerbox.
