MR C AUCTIONS OFF 'EBENEEZER' CODPIECE

Former Shamen man auctions fetish gear he wore on Top Of The Pops

Mr C, the tech-house DJ/producer, former co-owner of The End nightclub in London and ex-rapper from pioneering dance act The Shamen, is auctioning off the codpiece he wore on Top Of The Pops — for charity.

The Superfreq head honcho wore the fetish item when The Shamen were performing their controversial No.1 single 'Ebeneezer Goode'. Watch it here:

Now he's auctioning off the codpiece for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. It's an iconic piece of dance music history, and anyone who doesn't want to bid can still donate to the charity here

Here's the link to the codpiece auction.

Look out for a feature and short film on 'Ebeneezer Goode', the track that brought Mr C and dance culture in the UK tabloid notoriety two decades ago. In DJ Mag, DJMag.tv and DJmag.com soon.

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease caused by a faulty gene. This gene controls the movement of salt and water in and out of your cells, so the lungs and digestive system become clogged with mucus, making it hard to breathe and digest food.

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis but many treatments are available to manage it, including physiotherapy, exercise, medication and nutrition.
