Three of America's finest — Chris Lake, 12th Planet & Blaise James — will be kicking off DJ Mag's Best of North America Awards tour next month at famed LA rave cave, Exchange.
Exchange sits in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles, in what was formerly the Los Angeles Stock Exchange building. DJ Mag's first ever Best of North America Awards was created to give our readers the chance to really celebrate the best of North America's thriving underground scene.
12th Planet — who has been nominated in the Best Producer category — has had a busy 2017, what with the dubstep don enlisting the directorial talents of Johnson Diep for the visual treatment of ‘Let Me Help You ft. Taylr Renee’.
We're incredibly excited to see what this dubstep phenom has in stall for us when he touches down at Exchange LA on Thursday 6th July.
Joining him will be veteran DJ and producer Chris Lake — who has been nominated for in the Best Compilation category.
Lake is a veteran of the US scene and despite being born in the UK, he made the move to the US — specifically LA — a few years ago and hasn't looked back since.
He's released tracks on a variety of US-based labels including OWSLA and Ultra.
2017 has seen Lake launch his own label, Black Book Records. Aside from his new label, he also helped Skrillex curate the massive 'HOWSLA' compilation, which reached number one on the iTunes electronic chart.
Last but not least, OWSLA label manager Blaise James will be on hand to deliver some serious house grooves on the night. When he's not working behind the scenes keeping Skrillex's OWSLA imprint on the forefront of LA's underground scene, James moonlights as a house DJ and has built up quite reputation for his groove-laden DJ sets.
Chris Lake, 12th Planet and Blaise James will play DJ Mag's Best of North Amercian Awards tour at Exchange LA on Thursday 6th July.
