Finnish bass music cat mixes up old hardcore dude
One of DJ Mag's favourite bass music producers, Rico Tubbs has just released his 'Infekto vs Rico Tubbs EP' on Passenger — Aquasky's label.
It features the Ragga Twins, and so pleased was the Finnish producer to receive a Manix remix that he celebrated like only he knows how — he did a DJ mix mashing up all his favourites from the hardcore hero.
And now he's given DJmag.com the exclusive on it (below). Packed full of old hardcore goodies, it'll brighten up your day or night no end.
Manix is one of the aliases of Marc Mac from 4Hero — the impeccable hardcore-turned-broken beat duo from North London. The brains behind the Reinforced label along with comrade Dego, Marc Mac revived his Manix name for a new album last year — most of the tracks on this mix are from the early '90s, though.
