Dance For One Meter (D41M) launched today (8th August) with the noble goal of being “the biggest environmental initiative in dance music history”. Early partners include Hï Ibiza, HRBR Project NYC, Paul Oakenfold and Judge Jules.
By simply attending a D41M partner event, partygoers have the opportunity to save one square meter of rainforest when purchasing tickets. In addition to all Hï Ibiza parties, resident events for Martin Garrix, Black Coffee, Eric Prydz, and Armin Van Burren are also included in the revolutionary program. Secure those tickets here.
By using Satellite and Google Earth technology, each guest can redeem and zoom into their coordinates on the Cuipo Foundation Rainforest Preserve in Brazil.
D41M is founded by Ricardo Porteus and Tom Murray. Upon a chance encounter at Burning Man, the duo was inspired to unite festivalgoers from across the globe in an initiative to save the Rainforest.
Porteus stats (via press release): "The D41M project is rolling out globally, so far everyone we have spoken to has agreed to join our initiative, it's such a humbling feeling to know that this is happening and it's happening on a large scale right now! The D41M initiative is growing with Paul Oakenfold and Judge Jules now supporting us, alongside celebrity names in environmental protection and thought leadership being announced soon.”
