IK Multimedia launch new portable keyboard controller

iRig Keys I/O has a built-in audio interface, pads and touch-sensitive knobs

IK Multimedia has launched a new portable MIDI controller keyboard with audio ins and outs, as teased by DJ Mag last week. The iRig Keys I/O is aimed at music makers on a budget who work on the road, with a combi-jack input and TRS outputs. On top there’s eight pads and five touch-sensitive knobs with a built-in stand for tablets and phones, so you can plug straight in for making music on the go.

The keyboard can be powered over USB, with a DC power supply or via batteries for ultra portable use. Coming in at $199 for the 25-key version and $299 for the 49-key alternative, the iRig Keys I/O is very competitively priced for any entry-level producers or anyone looking for a transportable mini studio.

If you do pick up the iReg Keys I/O, why not grab Korg’s new iMono/Poly app to control?
