DJ Mag premieres a track from Carlo Lio's new EP 'Escobar'
Carlo Lio is a Techno & House DJ/Producer that hails from Toronto in Canada. Carlo is just about to release his EP on Carl Cox and Jon Rundell's seminal imprint Intec. Follows Carlo’s previous acclaimed Intec EP releases such as; ‘My Favourite Mistake’, ‘For The Love Of’ and ‘False Information / Coppa’. The new two track EP 'Escobar’ is out on the 22nd of December, Just in time for christmas!
DJ Mag have been given one of the tracks for its readers to have an exclusive listen. The track follows Carlo's unique tech groove sound.
‘Escobar Season’ kicks proceedings off and boasts all the hallmarks of a Lio track including his addictive chugging groove, menacing/eerie chord tones and his infamous hats and shakers. The track also utilizes a looped-up old rap sample that’s manipulated throughout. This is pure heads-down stripped-back techno which we’re certain will be played over and over throughout the New Year period and beyond.
