Epic dubby ambient sounds from DFRNT's new alias, Stillhead
Previously finding success under his DFRNT alias, Alex Cowle's latest EP is a meditative journey through the most ambient realms of bass music. As powerful in points as it is soothing, the EP features a great sample of Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar — the first of many, we're sure!
'Dwelling' is exactly the type of self-reflective track you want to hear in the twilight hours on the floor of your favourite club. It's a shame that London's Plastic People has gone, as this would have suited it perfectly. The track evolves into drum and bass for the second chorus, showcasing some excellent breaks and Cowle's natural talent for production.
