Arturia Reveal MiniBrute 2: Watch

The follow up to the popular mini monster synth features extra modular features and controls...

Arturia have announced the MiniBrute 2, a follow up to their popular mini analogue synth. Adding extra semi-modular patch points borrowed from their even more mini MatrixBrute. The semi modular patch points include controls for the filter, envelopes, LFOs and oscillators, hugely enhancing the sound design potential of the synth. MiniBrute 2 also features an arpeggiator with multiple modes, tap tempo as well as a built-in step-sequencer.

Arturia have also teased a new ‘Arturia Link’ concept, presumably around syncing their equipment – more will be revealed soon.

With a new keybed taken from their flagship MatrixBrute, the MiniBrute 2 looks like a solid update to what’s fast becoming an impressive hardware lineup from Arturia. The French fancies are also counting down to tomorrow when more products will be revealed in advance of the NAMM show in California next week. It's all about hardware though – Arturia have been busy recently with their flagship V Collection soft synth library reaching version 6, announced just before Christmas.
