PERU'S BEST NIGHTCLUBS

With Miller Genuine Draft

Voting in our annual nightclub poll - Top 100 Clubs, powered by Miller Genuine Draft - is now well and truly open. Since launching the vote last week, thousands of eager clubbers from across the planet have had their say on the world’s greatest places to experience electronic music.

Throughout the voting period we’ll be focusing on some of the planet's major clubbing regions, and some curveballs too! To celebrate our global clubbing scene, we'll be shining a light on the biggest, smallest, craziest and plushest clubs and cities on the planet - giving you a full picture of the state of clubland in 2015.

Our profiling begins in Latin America, as we land in Peru. The coastal nation, which sits on the north westerly tip of South America, is an essential backpacker's location due to the Inca Trail and other cultural adventures. But what is the electronic music scene like? We asked our team in Peru about the nation’s best dance floor locations. This is what they said...

GOTICA
Located in the Miraflores district of the capital city of Lima, Gotica has a plush and sophisticated vibe favoured by the cities fashionistas, but don’t think that means they don’t know how to party - the club is usually still rammed at 6am...

WEBSITE

BIZARRO
Among the Miraflores nightlife epicentre (round the corner from Parque Keneddy). Despite being a regular haunt for lovers of house music, this two floored venue has something for most musical tastes. Lookout for Thursday nights with featured DJs.

WEBSITE

MIA
A high-tech club with a fashionable crowd, Mia is blessed a stunning terrace and located inside the new Citywalk nightlife epicentre in Chacarilla. It´s a new club, but perfectly formed, opened with Sasha and has had royalties such as Carola and Kink to the booth.

EL DRAGON
Looking for an alternative vibe? Dragon, located in Barranco, offers music from Wednesday onwards, having live sets of all genders from techno to dub, depending on the evening and hour you arrive.

WEBSITE

NIKITA
Located in the Asia Boulevard (98km south of Lima), Nikita is famed for its open air dance floors mixing “pachanga” (commercial music) and, on its upper deck, electronic music with live DJs. The popular nightspot has recently  played host to a hed kandi event and attracts a mixed clientele united in their joy of partying beneath the stars.

WEBSITE

JOIA
Very much a two-sided venue, Joia is split between an open air terrace soundtracked by commercial music and an indoor area called Backroom, which hosts international guests from the house and techno scenes. Subb-an, Booka Shade and Wally Lopez have recently graced the decks in here.

CAFE DEL MAR
If you want to party until 7am, this is the place to go in the Asia Boulevard. You can hear an eclectic mix of music in its open air terrace or go to the chill-out indoor area with rock and chill-out music.
