Teenage Engineering add new Pocket Operators: Watch

Two new micro machines offer new sampling potential...

Teenage Engineering have added a new vocal sequencer called PO-35 Speak and a sampler called PO-33 KO! Each of the new units follow the same form factor as the rest of the Pocket Operator range, but both have built-in mics to record and manipulate your voice or any other source.

While the premise of the PO-35 focuses on ‘vocals’ it also features drum sounds and effects to program beats behind your recordings, while the PO-33 features 40 seconds of sample time for more comprehensive recording. There’s both a line-in and a built-in mic to record and they’re slightly more expensive t $89 each. However, the Microtonic VST can be used to upload your sounds to your DAW.

Mini music-making machines have been propping up all over with Korg's Volca series and Roland's Boutique range both offering big sound at a small price, and equally small footprint.
