MEET THE 2014 NEXT GENERATION DJ WINNERS

Our monthly competition with Mixcloud

Over the last twelve months we have been on the hunt for the next generation of DJ talent! We teamed up with our friends at Mixcloud to set up a platform for new DJs to get their mixes heard by a global audience.

We received 100s of mixes, of various genres, from DJs all over the world.

Each week we chose one mix, from the hundreds that were submitted, and showcased it on our Facebook page for you to listen and comment. Out of the weekly mixes, which we hosted, the winning mix was selected through your reaction and response to choose one mix from each calendar month.

We are now happy to present your choice of the twelve best mixes of the year, in full.

Next week, we will be choosing a winner, who will become the 2014 Next Generation DJ competition winner! But first we wanted to let you revisit all the winning monthly mixes again!

Think you can do better. Enter now for the 2015 competition!

Wellyington
Our 1st monthly winner of the year, with a selection of deep, tech  & jacking house.

Mike Maiden
February saw the winner hail from Romania, with a mix that reminded us of house nights at The Cross.

DJ Drummer
March came upon us with a fantastic drum & bass mix from DJ Drummer AKA Dean Keeble, originally from Chelmsford in Essex.

Keith Brenkley
Followed up in April with a mix from Kieth Brenkley, a man who had only been DJing for 9 months.

Kieran Lythgow
In May we were loving this vocal house mix from Bradford born Kieran Lythgow.

Lorraine Contreras
Summer saw a great winning mix from LA based Lorraine Contreras

Highflesh
The second half of the year began with a mix from East London's Highflesh, with a slice of nu-disco and electro house.

Krispe
August was the month that old-skool d&b took the centre stage.

Andy Kennedy
September was owned by the deep progressive sounds of Andy Kennedy, and it led one commentator to ask; "Can I just take this beat out to dinner and then go for a nice walk along a moonlit beach? Because its gorgeous!"

Marius Onuc
Moving on to October and the vocal house sounds of Marius Onuc had us dancing away the encroaching dark nights.

Max Stern
November belonged to 17 year old Max Stern, our first big room entry, and it really pulled in the compliments from the EDM crowd.

Gorgija
Finally the year was rounded off with the full on deep dark techno of Gorgija.
