COLOMBIA’S BEST CLUBS

Top 100 Clubs powered by Miller Genuine Draft

Voting in our annual nightclub poll - Top 100 Clubs, powered by Miller Genuine Draft - is now well and truly open. Since launching the vote last week, thousands of eager clubbers from across the planet have had their say on the world’s greatest places to experience electronic music.

Throughout the voting period we’ll be focusing on some of the planet’s major clubbing regions, and some curveballs too! To celebrate our global clubbing scene, we’ll be shining a light on the biggest, smallest, craziest and plushest clubs and cities on the planet - giving you a full picture of the state of clubland in 2015.

For the second in our focus on some of the world’s clubbing cultures we land in Colombia to find a range of clubs to suit all musical persuasions...

BAUM
Based in the capital city of Bogota, Baum is one of Colombia’s biggest and best-loved clubs. The venue, which holds just over 1000 people, is famous for the international underground artists who regularly play, but also for local heroes including Miller SoundClash finalists BAQ on Decks who have a residency at the club.

EL COQ
The prevailing sound in Colombian dance music clubs tends to be underground house and techno. Yet at the intimate El Coq, you are more likely to hear an indie or electro soundtrack. The venue is known for it’s hip crowd and infectious atmosphere. You can party here until 5am, too.

BILLARES LONDRES
Billares Londres is Bogota’s newest electronic music club and the European inspiration extends beyond the name. As in London, techno and underground house music is the order of the day and the 1000 capacity venue has recently welcomed Dixon and Guy Gerber to the decks.

THEATRON
This massive club - the biggest in Bogota - hosts a incredible 6000 people spread across 13 different rooms, meaning there is something for every taste and persuasion - if you know where to look!

SALON AMADOR
The most famous Colombian clubs ares based in Bogota -as you can tell from this list - however a new club has recently opened in Medellin which specialises in electronic music. Salon Amador covers everything from EDM to techno and has been causing quite a stir since opening last year.

ARMANDO RECORDS
Armando records is a live music space in Bogata that hosts a combination of electronic and indie acts in a cavernous space. It has room for 1,800 people inside and has recently hosted The Presets and some well known DJs.
