The highest ranking European clubs in this year’s Top 100 Clubs poll are based in Ibiza - demonstrating the strength of the scene on the tiny balearic island. However all of Europe’s major outposts feature in the final list - with venues from Paris, Berlin, London and beyond showing their metal. You can check the full ranking here.

SPACE IBIZA
Space Ibiza may have been knocked off the top spot by Green Valley in the poll this year, but it still remains No.1 in the hearts of many. Celebrating its 25th anniversary last year, Space has never let the grass grow under its feet — always innovating, always improving and updating, always pulling in the top DJs and the coolest party-goers.

MINISTRY OF SOUND
Since Ministry opened in 1991 “to create London's version of Paradise Garage NYC”, it has been a crucial part of the UK scene. With its amazing soundsystem, from the off it helped cement international house music in the UK's consciousness by flying over all the big American house DJs of the time.

Nowadays Ministry of Sound is one of the most recognised brands in global clubbing, but the club — despite being a tourist magnet — has been hosting some increasingly underground DJs in recent times. As well as being the main place in London in April to catch trance acts like W&W and ATB, Ministry is also devoting nights in April to Amine Edge & DANCE, Erick Morillo, Flux Pavilion and Doorly.

DC10
There's something unnaturally consuming about this sultry vortex with a VOID soundsystem. This reclaimed and reinvented old hangar on an abandoned stretch of airfield is the home of Jamie Jones' Paradise, it's also hosted one-off events from the likes of Visionquest and Better Lost Than Stupid (Tanzmann, Buttrich and Capriati) in recent seasons, but it's Monday rave Circoloco that DC10 is most famous for. With a string of residents — Seth Troxler, Kerri Chandler, Shonky — that most club nights would be stoked to have as their headliners, the wonky hustle and bustle — not forgetting the charter flights overhead — makes this club unique. There's nowhere else in the world quite like it.

COCORICO
The home of now-deceased party institution Discoteca Paradiso, the city of Rimini was once the undisputed epicentre of Italo house. In 2015, music and club culture has moved on considerably from the glory days of Italo, with Rimini’s dance fans now in search of accessible techno with an occasional side of EDM.

Cocorico is big enough to cater for both sub cultures, hosting techno rave-ups featuring local heroes (Alex Neri, Marco Carola, to name but a few) at popular regular party Made In Italy, plus big names from further afield like Berlin and London — think Villalobos, Sven Väth and Ibiza’s Circoloco crew.
