Alison Wonderland drops new album, ‘Awake’: Listen

Her second album dropped today via Astralwerks...

Alison Wonderland’s much anticipated sophomore album, ‘Awake’, is out today on Astralwerks.

Having dropped three singles – ‘Happy Place’, ‘No’ and ‘High feat. Trippie Redd’  – in the lead up to release, the 14 track album is now available digitally and on vinyl.

The Australian DJ/producer and recent DJ Mag North America cover star has described ‘Awake’ as her most honest, personal work to date, saying that she wants it to be beneficial to her fans.  “If you’ve got a voice and a platform, you can use it for real communication,” she said. “I want to make a track that someone will hear and be like ‘shit, I totally get what she’s feeling and if she can get out, maybe I can, too.’ I don’t want them to be afraid to talk about it.”

Describing the album’s title, Wonderland said, “I think it was my subconscious telling me things. The more I wrote, the more it seemed the perfect name.”

Collaborators on the album include include Joel Little (who has worked with Lorde), Illangelo (The Weeknd), Party Favor (Mad Decent), Chief Keef, Trippie Redd, SLUMBERJACK, and Lido, who also worked on her previous album, 'Run'.
