Peerless Swedish-born, Berlin based DJ/producer La Fleur is set to release her first EP on Watergate Records for over a year and half this month with ‘Outbreak’.
Set for release on Monday 14th May, the Watergate club resident’s new EP is a three-track demonstration of the producer’s technique, fusing sizzling house with a techno ferocity to create something that is –somehow – equal parts relentless and reserved.
The opening cut, ‘Devil Sigh’, has a deep groove embellished by crisp, fluttering arpeggios, carrying that mesmerising signature Watergate mood throughout. For the EP’s B-side though, Tuff City Kids deliver a ferocious remix – premiering below – that takes the energy of the original and turns everything up a notch.
Adding Chicago-flavoured keys to the fore, the remix brings an intense classic house edge into the mix and serves to make this a pure dancefloor destroyer we expect to be hearing a lot throughout the summer.
