Claude VonStroke to release first ever Dirtybird live album

Claude VonStroke is releasing the first ever Dirtybird live album— a recording of his set from Movement in Detroit, appropriately titled 'Claude VonStroke: Live In Detroit'. 

A native to the city and regular player at the event, the man in question closed out the festival's main Saturday night this year, an honour he evidently took very seriously. Scores of new work were signed and cleared in the months leading up to the occasion, winding up with almost 150 tunes available for use. 

“I’ve played Movement more than ten times, and every time it’s one of the most nerve-racking shows of the year,” says VonStroke. “I always want to bring the hottest possible set for Detroit, it’s where it all started, and my parents always come watch.

"My set is very much an old-school style DJ set, all music no-one’s heard before, special versions, secret edits, all the stuff I’ve been saving just for this performance. It seems crazy to release a mix album in today’s world, but the amount of incredible original music I have collected from both known and unknown producers will make this something people can get really excited about.”

The mix will be available to buy from 15th June through Apple Music, and contains a new version of 'Who's Afraid of Detroit' courtesy of Wyatt Marshall (formerly known as Elevator Musik), which we've embedded below.
