Illusive Norwegian producer Stian Gjevik AKA EOD has garnered massive support from some of the most vital names in electronic music in the past few years. With tracks being played by everyone from Nina Kraviz to Bicep, his distinct brand of hectic, experimental beats have become an unmistakable cornerstone in the most exhilarating of sets.

Support has also come from the one and only Aphex Twin, whose Rephlex label released his ‘Volume 1’ and ‘Volume 2’ collections in 2013. Now, the producer is set to drop his new album ‘Named LP’ on Icelandic artist Bjarki’s bbbbbb label on 13th July.

A typically vibrant and eclectic album, Gjevik veers from hectic percussive bursts to lush, otherworldly ambience at the drop of a hat, making for a collection that grabs you from the get go and doesn’t let go until it’s all over and your dazzled and dizzy and itching for more.

“It's the album I've wanted to do since I started making music,” said EOD in the album’s press release. “[It] feels like a dream come true. Inspired by what got me into electronic music in the first place; jungle and early ‘00s Warp/Rephlex ‘drill & bass’-type stuff, but shifted through my own EOD-style lens. Oh yeah and loads of lovecraft references because I love those.”

‘Wilbur’ – premiering below – is one of the stacked album’s many highlights. An emotive burst of scatterbrain electronics with jolting jungle vibes, it’s testament to all the stylistic influences flagged by EOD around its production. It’s dreamy.
